Every year from May 1st until the first day of summer only, I offer a ‘Get-Ready-for-Summer’ Special – but this year I wanted to do something very different.

You see, last spring I made the decision to reclaim my health. At the time, I was obese, had Type 2 Diabetes, very high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Even though I knew what to do, I had yet to do it.

About three-quarters the way into my first year, my Diabetes was been in partial remission, my blood pressure was normal and my cholesterol was considered ‘ideal’ (and all remain that way) – and these changes were accomplished only through changes I made in my diet.

Exercise is something I only recently added, for the second year of my “journey”.

I am still “in process” but I am reclaiming my health, one day at a time and my passion is to help others to do the same.

That’s why I am offering this special.

When I made the decision last spring to finally begin to address my own denial and resistance to change, I didn’t have to pay a Dietitian to assess me, determine my risk factors, design a meal plan for me and teach me what I needed to know to be successful.  I just had to do it.
