Low FODMAPs Diet – specialty hourly service

FODMAPS is an acronym for fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols (sugar alcohols) which are the specific types of carbohydrate that are fermented by the gut bacteria, resulting in increased gas production, abdominal pain, bloating and either diarrhea and constipation or a combination of both.

The Low FODMAP specialty hourly service is designed for clients who want to follow a “low-FODMAP diet” to reduce unpleasant gastrointestinal symptoms often associated with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases such as Crohn’s and Colitis, or with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

This teaching will help you implement a low-FODMAP diet in 3 stages so that you can find the level of FODMAP restriction that suits you best, without unnecessarily restricting foods that don’t cause you distress.
