Low-FODMAP Option

FODMAPS is an acronym for fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols (sugar alcohols) which are the specific types of carbohydrate that are fermented by the gut bacteria, resulting in increased gas production, abdominal pain, bloating and either diarrhea and constipation or a combination of both.

The Low FODMAP Option is an add on option to the Complete Assessment Package designed for clients who have been told by their GP or Gastroenterologist that they have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and should follow a “low-FODMAP diet”.  Information on taking it as a stand-alone service are below.
