CATEGORIES OF SERVICES

BetterByDesign Nutrition’s services range from routine to highly specialized and are broken down into three categories; 

I — ROUTINE SERVICES 

Routine Services are available hourly and through several packages for youth, young adults, and adults of all ages. 

HOURLY SERVICES

• • Initial Hourly Consultation – a non-clinical appointment for meeting together to discuss your goals and health background, to discuss service options, and see if we are a good fit for your needs. Any remaining time in this appointment can be “banked” for follow-up services when taking one of our packages.
  • Clinical Hourly Services– for clinical work by the hour, or for taking follow-up visits on an hourly basis
  • Specialty Hourly Services – for nutrition education on a variety of topics, including Reducing Constipation and Hemorrhoids, Functional Dyspepsia (“nervous stomach”), GERD / acid reflux, Gout, Histamine Elimination, Hiatus Hernia, dietary considerations in Hypothyroid, Kidney Stone Diet (calcium oxylate), and Macular Degeneration. These teachings are available as add-on nutrition education sessions at a reduced rate with selected packages.

II — DIGESTIVE HEALTH 

We offer two packages for individuals struggling with the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), as well as packages for those newly diagnosed with SIBO, Celiac Disease, Crohn’s Disease, or Ulcerative Colitis (UC. 

• • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Package
  • Low FODMAP Diet Package
  • Celiac Disease Management Package
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Package 
  • Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) Package

III — THERAPEUTIC DIETS

We currently offer the following therapeutic diet services;

• • 2:1 Therapeutic Ketogenic Diet – dietary support for specific mental health conditions.
•  
  • Customized Nutrition Package – for 3:1 therapeutic ketogenic diets as an adjunct treatment in specific physical conditions and mental health conditions, and dietary support for those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome – hypermobility subtype (hEDS), Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD) / Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). 

Initial Assessment and subsequent visits in all packages are priced at or below the Reasonable and Customary Fee limits of five major benefits insurers for British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, the provinces in which I am licensed.
